Kakania

Kakania is a term coined by Austrian writer Robert Musil in his novel "The Man Without Qualities" to satirize the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The name derives from the imperial bureaucracy's frequent use of the abbreviation "k. k." (short for kaiserlich und königlich, or "imperial and royal").
